Fundraising Projects

Improving Computer Science

This is an exciting time for West Tytherley as we embark on our IT update.  We are looking to raise around £30,000 to invest in IT equipment, so that all children have access to the latest technologies that will enrich their learning experiences.

We are happy to say that we have saved £4000 towards the costs.  However, like many schools, funding is limited and we therefore need help to fundraise and complete this project.  We hope that you feel that this is a worthwhile development for the school, which will have a direct impact upon our children’s learning.  We appreciate any help that can be offered.

We would like to:

  • Replace our old desktop computers in the IT suite with 30 new wireless laptops, costing £14,000
  • Install a laptop caddy to keep the laptops charged - at a cost of £1500
  • Update our library computer and software - £500
  • Purchase three Interactive class whiteboards - removing the old projectors and their associated costly bulb replacements, to a more efficient, sleeker interactive digital screen. The total cost of this project is £10,500.

Six of our parents will be taking on The Fan Dance SAS Challenge on 7th July to raise money for new interactive whiteboards.

You can help West Tytherley Fan Dancers raise money for this great cause by donating at:

Scheme of Giving

We have introduced a Scheme of Giving for all those interested in contributing. This is available to all families of the school and to those in the wider Community who value and understand the support that the school offers to the communities of West Tytherley and the surrounding rural villages.

Please take time to consider whether you could make a contribution to the school.

To express your interest in a one-off donation or a regular monthly payment, please contact the school either by emailing or ringing 01794 340338, and further details will be given.

If you are doing any online shopping, the PTA have registered with The Giving Machine as a means of raising additional funds for the school.

Loads of stores, including Amazon, Argos, Next, M&S, are part of the Giving Machine fundraising scheme.

Just click on the link below and do all you shopping via the site – it doesn’t cost you a penny more and the school gets money for each purchase made. Money for the nothing!

Thank you.
