Attendance

We are committed to providing an education of the highest quality for all our pupils/students and endeavour to provide an environment where all pupils feel valued and welcome.

Evidence shows that for a child to reach their full educational achievement, a high level of school attendance is essential: pupils with higher rates of attendance perform better at Key Stage 2 than children with lower rates of attendance, and for a child to get the most value from their time in school, they need to be consistently present and ready to engage.   As set out in our Attendance Policy, absence from school for holidays is strongly discouraged.

We understand that sometimes there are circumstances when your child cannot be in school, and there may be occasions when getting your child to school is difficult. But regular and punctual attendance in school is a cornerstone of every child's success.  We are keen to do whatever we can to help - so that all our children can learn and develop and make every minute count - 100% of the time.

Our Attendance Policy

The school’s attendance policy and accompanying guidance sets out the framework for our objectives and actions relating to attendance.
