School Dinners
Our School Dinners are provided by Hampshire County Council Education Catering and are prepared onsite everyday by our cook, Mrs Goulding.
The quality of our school dinners is exceptionally good and as a result, the majority of our children choose to have a cooked meal. A two course freshly cooked hot meal costs £3.00 per day.
We are a nut free school and would ask you to bear this in mind when preparing your child’s lunchbox.

Medical Special Diets
Does your child need a medical special diet to eat lunch at school?
If so, you need to create an account to register your child for a medical special diet.
Once you have created your account, we will be able to review your medical evidence with our NHS dietician in order to devise an adapted menu for your child's school lunch.
Living with allergies comes with its own set of rules so when it comes to food, as education caterers, we want to make this as easy as possible for you as a family. Our staff are trained in food safety and regularly update their skills on allergens. We never underestimate the dangers of food allergies and intolerances and that's why we work hard to get it right.

Universal Infant Free School Meals
All Key Stage 1 pupils are able to have a school meal at lunchtime, free of charge.
This applies to all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, and requires no registration. Each child is entitled to a hot, two course meal at their school which will include a meat or non-meat main item, vegetables, potato, pasta or rice, salad and a dessert.
The Government has made the commitment to fund all these meals and therefore Hampshire County County are encouraging all Key Stage 1 pupils to enjoy a school meal at lunchtime.
Free School Meals
Free school meals criteria
A child is eligible for free school meals if their parent or carer receives one or more of the following benefits:
Income Support
income-based Job Seekers' Allowance
income-related Employment and Support Allowance
support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
Child Tax Credit, provided you are not also entitled to Working Tax Credit, and have an annual gross income, of no more than £16,190 as assessed by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (Parents who are made redundant or start working less than 16 hours per week, may find their children are entitled to free meals for a limited period.)
Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
Universal Credit (provided you have an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400, as assessed by earnings from up to three of your most recent assessment periods)
No other benefits qualify for free school meals from Key Stage 2 (years 3, 4, 5, 6) or for the pupil premium for Reception Year and Key Stage 1 (years 1, 2).

To complete a check you need the following information for yourself or the person you are checking on behalf of:
your own name, date of birth, and contact details
National Insurance number or National Asylum Seekers number
child's name and date of birth
school your child is attending or will attend
Please be assured that this information will be treated in the strictest confidence.
It is important to register for free school meals even if your child is in Year R, 1 or 2 since this is a way the school receives pupil premium funding.
Our School Milk Scheme
Our school provides a milk scheme that is available to all of our pupils and we would like to invite you to register your child. School milk is free for under-5s, and for over-5s it is available at a subsidised* price of 22p per day.
Each child that registers with Cool Milk will receive a 189ml portion of semi-skimmed milk every day, delivered fresh and chilled to the classroom. Their school milk will not only provide them with essential nutrients, but as it is rehydrating and energy boosting it also bridges the gap between breakfast and lunch to help children stay focused. How to register
If your child is under five:
· Register online at www.coolmilk.com
· Register by a Tuesday at 5pm for your child’s free milk to start the following week
· Free milk will continue until the Friday before your child’s fifth birthday. You will receive a payment request four weeks before their birthday - if you wish your child to continue to receive school milk, simply make a payment
If your child is five or older:
· Register and pay online at www.coolmilk.com
· You can pay Cool Milk either online, over the phone or at a local PayPoint in half-termly, termly or annual instalments.
· Please pay by a Tuesday at 5pm for your child’s milk to start the following week
